Recently purchased a Beach Shower and want to make sure you get bang for your buck?

This guide is for you!

In it, we give you a few time-honoured tips to ensure you get the most out of your Beach Shower. From taking it for a test drive to playing around with the different showerhead modes, there are loads of ways to make your first beach shower experience a great one.

Let's dive in!

Tip #1 / Give it a quick once-over after unboxing

After receiving your Beach Shower in the post and unwrapping it like a kid at Christmas (if you're an adult any other time of the year, that is), the first thing you want to do is give it a thorough once-over.

Make sure no parts are damaged or missing and take note of any discrepancies you may have with your order. If in the unlikely event there's anything wrong with your new Beach Shower, don't hesitate to contact us as soon as possible here.

We want to ensure that everything runs smoothly before taking off on your next beach or bush adventure. And nothing bums us out more than a customer not having the best experience with their new Beach Shower.

Tip #2 / Take it for a test spin while at home

Another tip for getting the most out of your Beach Shower is to give it a test spin while still at home.

This is the perfect opportunity to get familiar with all its features and functions, without having to worry about being in an unfamiliar environment. Plus, you can also give it a few trial runs to make sure everything is working as it should.

Of course, it's not a complicated bit of gear, but we still reckon that it's worth investing 10-15 minutes to learn the ins and outs of our portable showers.

This way you can hit the road with your Beach Shower in the boot and feel confident that it'll deliver on all its promises.

Tip #3 / Don't throw away that spare parts bag

Notice the extra set of parts that came with your Beach Shower? Yep, you definitely don't want to throw them away.

We're not suggesting that you'll need to use them urgently. Our Beach Showers are built tough to handle beach days, rough and tumble road trips and the odd outdoor festival.

But just in case, we suggest that you keep the spare parts bag handy and accessible for when you may need them.

This is especially important if you're planning a longer trip away from home and won't have easy access to any extra bits or pieces should anything go wrong.

In saying that, you can also buy spare parts online if you don't lose the bag.

Tip #4 / Learn how to clean your Beach Shower properly

As we just said, our Beach Showers are pretty resilient, but just like even the toughest bloke or sheila they still need some tender loving care once in a while.

The good news is that keeping your shower clean and hygienic is super easy and takes no time at all!

Here are a few cleaning tips to ensure your Beach Shower and the attached cover last.

  1. Hand wash the neoprene sleeve only for the best results
  2. To prevent bacteria build-up, avoid leaving water in the tank for extended periods (more than a couple of days)
  3. Occasionally clean the tank using an anti-bacterial tablet like Milton or a solution of white vinegar and water

Tip #5 / Explore the different showerhead modes

How many different modes does your home shower have?

Because when it comes to our Beach Showers, we're rocking a total of 10! That's right, from jet flow to gentle mist, you can choose the perfect shower experience for your needs.

Just give it 7 to 9 initial pumps then play around with the different showerhead modes till you find the one that works best for the task at hand. You'll then need 3 to 5 top-up pumps every 15 to 20 seconds to keep the water flowing at a constant rate.

We're sure you'll find one to match your mood!

Tip #6 / Never use water hotter than 50 degree Celsius

Don't turn your Beach Shower into a plastic puddle.

Make sure that when it comes to filling it with warm water, never exceed temperatures of 50°C.

Doing so will most likely damage the plastic as well as the seals, leaving you without a Beach Shower at all!

If you want our advice, boil the kettle and allow it to sit for a bit. Then, add two parts cold water and one part hot water for the best results. In our experience, doing so will ensure the temperature is just right.

Oh... and remember that the cover insulates your Beach Shower and keeps the water warm for hours, so don't slip it off!

Tip #7 / Add a Beach Souler Bag ‘n’ Mat to your kit

If you really want to elevate your outdoor adventures and make the most of your Beach Shower, our 100% waterproof carry bag and changing/rinsing mat is the right call.

Designed to complement the Beach Shower, this easy-carry 50L bag effortlessly accommodates all your wet clothing or gear, ensuring your vehicle remains dry and sand-free.

As for the non-slip mat, it adds an extra touch of convenience - no more grubby feet tracking dirt, sand and soil through the house or car!

Tip #8 / Don't fill your Beach Shower with any chemicals

Last but certainly not least, we want to make sure you understand that your Beach Shower is an outdoor shower for personal use.

Never try to fill it with harsh cleaning chemicals, swimming pool chemicals or even pesticides. They'll forever compromise your Beach Shower's integrity and potentially leave you with a nasty surprise.

Only fill it with fresh water and if you must, a mild detergent or cleaning solution like the ones mentioned above.

Keep it clean, treat it mean (within reason) and enjoy a refreshing shower wherever you go! Learn more about best practices for our Beach Showers here.

Conclusion

In essence, your Beach Shower is set to become your best mate during any and all outdoor exploits.

With a little consideration and care, your beach-borne, roadside or festival-fresh shower will ensure you're always ready to dive into the next adventure. Remember, it's more than just a shower - it's a lifestyle companion.

Treat it right and it'll treat you right!
